And welcome to the university community!

You have just taken a decisive step in your life: your success in the Baccalaureate, which crowns your many years of effort and sacrifice and opens the door to university education.

The choice of this education must obviously be largely determined by the profession to which both your vocation and your abilities lead you. That is why you must make the right choice among the many and diverse programs offered by the institutions of the Higher Education and Scientific Research Sector to the 2023 class of baccalaureate holders, of which you are deservedly a part.

Step 01: After the announcement of the Baccalaureate results
Go to your high school. You will be given your Baccalaureate certificate, through which you will find your PERSONAL NUMBER (at the bottom of the page), which will be required during your pre-registration.

Familiarize yourself with the information provided in the Bachelor’s Guide and in the Circular. For this purpose, we recommend installing the TesdjilCom application, available in the download space, on your smartphone. You may also use the interactive versions of the Guide and the Hypertext Circular on a PC, or the PDF versions of these two documents.

Step 02: After carefully reading the documents
You will proceed with your pre-registration from July 19 to July 22, 2023.
This phase consists of filling out your choice form and submitting it online at the following address: http://www.orientation.esi.dz
This operation can be carried out wherever an Internet connection is available. However, we recommend that you join the facilities provided in all university establishments. There you will find availability, advice, assistance, and free Internet access.
Before filling out your choice form, you can consult and print the list of all the programs available to you ('my authorized programs').

Step 03: Confirmation of pre-registration
You must then confirm your pre-registration from July 23 to July 24, 2023. You are also allowed to modify your previous choice form. In this case, it is the second choice form that will be taken into account for your orientation.

Step 04: Results of assignment
The results of the assignment will be published online on the evening of August 1, 2023.

Step 05: Interviews and tests (August 02 to August 06, 2023)
For the field of Sciences and Techniques of Physical and Sports Activities (STAPS), you must present a medical certificate to your assigned institution.
For Normal Superior Schools (ENS), Institutes of Applied Sciences and Techniques (ISTA), certain Bachelor's programs, and the IMAMA and IRCHAD Bachelor's degrees (as specified in the complementary conditions in the annexes of the circular), you must present yourself to your assigned institution for an interview.

Step 06: Pre-registrations for cases (B), (C), and (D)
During this period (August 08 to August 13, 2023), the following cases are handled:

B. Failure after an interview or test.
C. None of your four (04) choices were satisfied: In this case, you must proceed with a second pre-registration, similar to the first, using the same process.
D. For the fields and programs: Sciences and Techniques (ST), Law, Arabic Language and Literature (LLA), and Economics, Management, and Commercial Sciences (SEGC), as well as Medical Sciences, you may be assigned to a program of your choice, but in a wilaya that does not correspond to your preference.

In this situation, you are allowed to request a new orientation using the same procedure, following the non-validation of the first assignment.
It should be noted that for the above cases B, C, and D (related to re-assignment requests), the initial assignment is lost.

Step 07: Processing of cases defined in Step 6
Handled from August 08 to August 13, 2023.

Step 08: Accommodation requests
After learning about your assignment, if you are eligible for accommodation in a university residence, you must submit an online request from August 06 to August 08, 2023.

Step 09: Authorized changes of assignment
A. Requests for a change to another program within the same institution.
B. Requests for a change to another university town, only for baccalaureate holders whose parents have been officially transferred (civil service or armed forces).
C. Requests for a change of residence, only for female baccalaureate holders due to marriage.

For all these situations, baccalaureate holders are allowed to submit online requests for a change of assignment, provided they respect the conditions stated in the circular, minimum averages, and upload supporting documents.
It should be noted that for situations A, B, and C related to authorized changes of assignment, accepted candidates automatically lose their initial assignment.

Step 10: Processing and results of authorized changes (Step 9)
Handled online from August 08 to August 13, 2023.

Step 11: Final registration (August 05 to August 10, 2023)
After learning about your assignment, you must proceed with your final registration from August 05 to August 10, 2023, at the institution where you have been assigned. You must prepare the following documents:

- The original Baccalaureate transcript
- Two (02) passport-size photos
- Proof of payment of registration fees set at 200 DA

Special Case: Holders of a Specific Baccalaureate (Bouâmama High School)
Submit a request for assignment via one of the following links:

After reviewing:
- The correspondence of your Baccalaureate with the series defined in the pre-registration and orientation circular
- The access conditions stipulated in the same circular
- The minimum averages required for access to different programs (available on the MESRS website)

Special Case: Algerian Citizen Holder of a Foreign Baccalaureate
To enroll in a Higher Education institution, submit a request for assignment via one of the following links:

After obtaining equivalence for your Baccalaureate and reviewing:
- The access conditions stipulated in the pre-registration and orientation circular
- The minimum averages required for access to different programs (available on the MESRS website)

Special Case: Foreign Citizen Holder of a Foreign Baccalaureate or Equivalent Diploma
To enroll in a Higher Education institution, submit a request for assignment via one of the following links:

After obtaining equivalence for your Baccalaureate and reviewing:
- The access conditions stipulated in the 2023 pre-registration and orientation circular
- The minimum averages required for access to different programs (available on the MESRS website)

Final enrollment approval in an institution is subject to the decision of the authorized bodies responsible for international cooperation and exchanges.
